Located just 30 minutes north of downtown Detroit and the Canadian border, via I-94, we have what real estate folks boast as "location, location, location!" With our lakeside location, water sports and recreation are very popular. And our proximity to the metropolitan Detroit area offers all the fun of the many sports and entertainment venues available. Anchor Bay, Algonac, Armada, East China, L'Anse Creuse, and New Haven schools are represented in our area. Two community colleges, Macomb and St. Clair, are easily accessible to our residents, as are Wayne State University and the University of Detroit, both located in Detroit. Additionally, the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor is only an hour away. Eastern Michigan University is located in Ypsilanti, near Ann Arbor. _______________________________________ Chamber Events Upcoming Membership Meetings & New Member Welcome Come and Meet the 2008/2009 Chamber Board of Directors Tuesday, May 13th- 1:00pm The Vernier 8822 Vernier Rd, Fair Haven Join us each month for our membership luncheon, we will be updating you on what’s happening at the chamber, looking for suggestions for future events and then have an open forum for members to speak. It’s free to attend & if you’d like to eat lunch then there will be a full menu for you to order from at your expense. No need to RSVP– see you there! After May, our next Luncheon will be Tuesday, October 7th. During the Spring & Summer, we host the following events in place of the membership lunches: Business by the Bay- June 26th Business by the Bay- July 17th Business by the Bay- August 13th Annual Membership Meeting- September 9th
